Julianne, a Florida native began her ballet training at Magda Aunon, School of Classical Ballet in Ft. Lauderdale. She also trained under scholarship at The Joffrey Ballet and The Pennsylvania Ballet at their prestigious summer programs working with renowned teachers such as Trinette Singleton, John Magnus, Heather Watts and Bojan Spasoff.

She earned her B.F.A. from Florida State University where she studied both classical and modern technique, dance history, choreography and dance education. After graduating, Julianne danced under the direction of Robert de Warren at The Sarasota Ballet of Florida for five years. She performed leading roles in original works such as Madame Butterfly, Carmina Burana and The Ballet of Anne Frank along with classics like Swan Lake, Giselle, Coppelia, The Nutcracker and Don Quixote.

After a move to NYC, Julianne joined the National Tour of “The Phantom of the Opera” where she performed 8 shows a week in cities nation-wide in addition to performing with the Broadway production for many years.

Julianne has been teaching and coaching ballet, pointe, variations and choreography to students of all ages for more than 25 years. As founder of The Beautiful Barre, she believes dance can bring grace, artistry and confidence to all and loves sharing this beautiful art form which she has such a passion for.
